We just hosted Nouvelle Annee 1755 with French Marines and Grenadiers, malice, metis, habitants, and First Nations representatives at the Old Fort, Fort Wayne, Indiana. I have now begun a search for all things New France. We lost our master gardener at the Old Fort and I am preparing a gardener’s manual for his replacement. Records of you garden are a valuable resource. Just as pollination is essential to successful agriculture, a kind of “cross pollination” which occurs as I study and visit other sites and organizations will enrich what we do to make history come alive for our guests to the Old Fort – Historic Fort Wayne. Thank you.

Bob, Sorry to hear of your loss and I am glad that my postings might be of help to your site. I agree with you completely that checking in with other sites and organizations make us all better in representing our shared colonial past, especially in regards to foodways and agriculture. Good luck in your endeavors and next time I visit family in northern Ohio, I will make sure to stop by and visit your site. Bonne chance! Carol
